Cross country skiing at the GND REC

Our YMCA youth programing director, Leslie Bucar, organized cross country skiing at the REC. Special thanks to the City of Duluth for grooming a trail at the GND REC and great support by the folks at the Ski Hut.

Ice fishing on the St. Louis River

Every year as part of youth programming, we organize and outing to go ice fishing on the St. Louis River. This is a great event that is enjoyed by all who attend.

2021 Annual Report completed

We completed our 2021 Annual Report. 2021 was an exciting year at the GND REC and much was accomplished with youth programming and construction. Thank you to Hailey Sault marketing for their very professional work on our annual report. Much more is needed to complete our construction. If you can donate, please do.

WHERE ARE WE NOW?

We value and take pride in our community and each of its members, education, physical activity and our environment, those who promote positive actions and give back to our community, and appreciate the opportunity to have fun as we promote service in our community and strong personal relationships between its members.

Because of the incredible generosity of the Duluth community and beyond, we have raised the following in cash and in kind contributions of labor, services and materials.  Our citizens, businesses, trade unions, foundations and the City of Duluth have been truly amazing in their support.

WHAT CAN YOU DO?

The GND Community Center and Recreation Area is dedicated to providing a place to be used by members of the community for social, cultural, learning and recreational purposes.

The community is in a period of transition with many new people moving to the community. The GND REC provides the catalyst for bringing the community together, benefiting young people and seniors alike while instilling an overall sense of pride throughout the community.

We can’t get this project completed without your help!
