Owls and Owl Pellets; Youth Programing

No, it’s not barf. When owls eat, they swallow their food whole because they don’t have teeth. They have a special organ called a gizzard, and anything not digestible gets held back here and coughed up, making an owl pellet. We’re going to dissect some and see what the owls ate.

Pick up at the GND REC.

  • Free Youth Programming ages: 5-15
  • Pre-registration required.
  • Register at GND Facebook page or YMCA website
  • Registrations close at midnight Saturday for the following week.

SUCCESS! We met and succeeded our target for our matching challenge grant.  It is humbling how giving our community is and we greatly appreciate all who donated.

We value and take pride in our community and each of its members, education, physical activity, and our environment, those who promote positive actions and give back to our community and appreciate the opportunity to have fun as we promote service in our community and strong personal relationships between its members.

WHAT CAN YOU DO?

The GND Community Center and Recreation Area is dedicated to providing a place to be used by members of the community for social, cultural, learning and recreational purposes.

The community is in a period of transition with many new people moving to the community. The GND REC provides the catalyst for bringing the community together, benefiting young people and seniors alike while instilling an overall sense of pride throughout the community.
