Brews and Boards Fundraiser

On Thursday, June 9, from 6 to 9pm, we will be holding our first “Brews and Boards” fundraiser at the fabulous Lake Superior Railroad Museum at the Depot. We will have a great live auction, silent auction and online auction of painted skateboards including a three board piece of art celebrating Tony Hawk.  Craft beer tasting, cider tasting and wine tasting along with hor d’oeuvres. Tickets are only $25 and available at the door.  All proceeds will go toward completing the skatepark.

SUCCESS! We met and succeeded our target for our matching challenge grant.  It is humbling how giving our community is and we greatly appreciate all who donated.

We value and take pride in our community and each of its members, education, physical activity, and our environment, those who promote positive actions and give back to our community and appreciate the opportunity to have fun as we promote service in our community and strong personal relationships between its members.

WHAT CAN YOU DO?

The GND Community Center and Recreation Area is dedicated to providing a place to be used by members of the community for social, cultural, learning and recreational purposes.

The community is in a period of transition with many new people moving to the community. The GND REC provides the catalyst for bringing the community together, benefiting young people and seniors alike while instilling an overall sense of pride throughout the community.
