Acivity: Family Night at Chamber’s Grove

May 24, 2023 @ 2:15 pm - 5:30 pm

In a partnership with the Duluth Parks and Rec Department and the DNR, parents get to join their kids in a fun, free fishing event.  Y staff will bring kids to Chamber’s Grove in the Fond du Lac neighborhood on the banks of the St. Louis River.

Parents can meet us there and enjoy some waterfront education, catch and release fishing with their child (all equipment, bait, and licensing provided), bird watching, hiking, and snacks.

Parents will pick up their child from Chamber’s Grove.  If your child needs transportation from Chamber’s Grove back to the GND Rec please let Ms. B know. 

This free family event goes until 5:30.

SUCCESS! We met and succeeded our target for our matching challenge grant.  It is humbling how giving our community is and we greatly appreciate all who donated.

We value and take pride in our community and each of its members, education, physical activity, and our environment, those who promote positive actions and give back to our community and appreciate the opportunity to have fun as we promote service in our community and strong personal relationships between its members.

WHAT CAN YOU DO?

The GND Community Center and Recreation Area is dedicated to providing a place to be used by members of the community for social, cultural, learning and recreational purposes.

The community is in a period of transition with many new people moving to the community. The GND REC provides the catalyst for bringing the community together, benefiting young people and seniors alike while instilling an overall sense of pride throughout the community.
