GND REC Summer Kickoff

Due to your individual contributions and your team's contributions (volunteers, private sector businesses, unions, foundations, DNR and the City of Duluth) we have been able to complete Phase I including remodeling of the GND REC Community Center, building a storage building, two new soccer fields, an open air pavilion and much more.  Without your support we could not have made the great progress that we have.  See attached banner of those making significant contributions.

The GND REC is having its first summer kickoff on Sunday, 11 June from 11 am to 3 pm.  There will be games for the kids including a bounce house and free food.  See attached.

The YMCA is operating the GND REC on our behalf; providing staffing and programing.  This Kickoff event is being coordinated by the YMCA.

Please come out with your children and grandchildren enjoy the fun, see the progress we have made together and meet the Y staff.  The transformation of the GND REC is truly amazing.

We appreciate all that you have done.

We Need Your Help

The new GND REC is becoming the center of the community. The Community Center is completed and active.  Phase I has been completed with soccer games keeping our new fields busy.  The performance pavilion was the venue for four concerts in 2017 and the 2018 schedule is being established.  The dog park is completed and is actively used.  Much more is needed to complete our project.  Amazing people - people like you -  are asked however they can. 2018 construction is focused on Phase 2 & 3 of our project will be started and are accepting donations to keep the project rolling.
